Firstly, if you are going to brush your wig, please do not use a plastic brush, this will cause the brush to generate static electricity which will damage your wig !

Secondly, when you're brushing your wig, do not treat it like your hair ! Take a clump of the hair in your hand and brush the hair starting from the bottom, then slowly continue down. If you start from the top, you'll cause tangles and damage your wig ! Then the only solution would be to cut the tangled bit off. 

Thirdly, if you decide to wash your wig, make sure you use cold water ! Firstly add shampoo to your wash basin and fill it with cold water (The best shampoo to use is a special shampoo for synthetic hair, but if you don't have that try using color treated hair shampoo), then swish the wig about,do not rub it. Leave it to soak for 5 minutes and then rinse it gently.

Do not, under any circumstances use a hair dryer to dry your wig, use something (Like a towel) to absorb any excess water (Do not rub) and then leave it to dry naturally. Do not keep it under the sun. Also if you want to brush your wig, please wait till it has fully dried.
